Testimonies of Healing

I had a remarkable experience several years ago. In the weeks prior to this I had been reading Mary Baker Eddy’s book, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, and had gained a great sense of freedom and inspiration from this study.

The following experience took place several years ago.   I had been feeling some discomfort, and one day I discovered a large, painful lump in the lower part of my body.

When our son was just a toddler, he had a healing of a severe burn. It was lunchtime, and I was bringing our food from the kitchen to the dining room table.

When this author felt that she was miscarrying, she turned to God in prayer and recognized that God maintains the health of her and her baby.

Last year I was planning to fly from Australia to London to visit my daughter. Before booking the flight, I knew I needed to pray.

It was 3:00 a. m.

Several years ago, a spot appeared on my lower neck. When it became inflamed and did not go away, I felt disturbed and decided to call a Christian Science practitioner for metaphysical treatment.

In my work as a classical musician, I perform mostly in chamber music ensembles with various other instruments. Some time ago I performed with another person in a duo ensemble for several years.

When Mary Baker Eddy founded the Church of Christ, Scientist, she included a provision for Christian Science Reading Rooms. These rooms provide a place where anyone can pray and study Christian Science as well as access the periodicals and books published by The Christian Science Publishing Society.

During one of our family’s regular trips to the dentist for cleanings, the dentist said that updated X-rays needed to be taken of my daughter’s mouth—she was eight at the time. The X-rays showed there wasn’t enough room in her mouth for new teeth to come in.
