It has been very wisely noted that the wisdom of one generation is the foolishness of the next, but nobody has added the equally true saying that the foolishness of one generation is the wisdom of the next.
Certain of our most thoughtful M.D's have come to the conclusion that, inasmuch as under the system of purely mental therapeutics an extraordinary number of incurables (?) have been restored to health and happiness, space in all their text-books on healing should be devoted to "the operation of mind alone as a potential agency in general medical practice."
This speaks well for the younger generation of doctors, whose fathers were so much more zealous in exposing the probable fallacies of the first psychologic practices, than in investigating into their laws.
