When the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth? Luke xviii. 8.
We are brought face to face with this question today, on presenting the Truth discovered in Christian Science, in the light of His appearing, to religionists in the various church-organizations; and the reception which Christian Science meets with, in human experience, goes to prove its adaptedness to the present time. To bring before the world, and establish this great spiritual fact, in an age so material in thought, means warfare at the start, and opens to its leader a life of cross-bearing and sacrifice beyond parallel. This discovery of the Truth, that heals as well as saves, has made her as truly the Deliverer to this people, as was Moses to the Children of Israel, in his time.
We are found in the Egyptian bondage of modern times; the blindness of material belief, which shuts out the spiritual sense of Life, in its harmony and immortality, and leaves us slaves to the discords of mortal beliefs of sin, sickness, and death.
