Christian Science has freed me from hereditary sick headache, from rheumatism which was inherited from both sides of the family, and from a peculiar phase of constipation which materia medica said was incurable. This last-named disease I was five years in overcoming, treating myself after taking class instruction. It was a hard struggle, but I knew this was my only hope, and that the Principle, of Christian Science was true and must heal me if I persisted and it did. Conditions are now normal, and have been so for several years.
From childhood I had been in bondage to fear, any discordant condition would terrify me,—fear in many directions oppressed me until Christian Science came to my rescue. It was two years after taking class instruction before I was absolutely sure that Christian Science was the truth. Old doubts and fears beset the way, family and friends ridiculed me, but I could not let go, or divine Love would not let go of me, so, through seemingly great tribulation, I came to know and be able to prove that Christian Science is from God, is the way through which to find health.
I now have a sense of the presence and power of God, —the tender, loving Parent enfolding all. I am glad for those who can come to Christian Science as a little child without question, but to any who cannot seem to do so, I wish to say, persevere, and little by little the seeming barriers will be burned away by that Love which is a consuming fire to all unlike Itself.— Buffalo, N.
