Sincere gratitude impels me to tell others of the good I have received through Christian Science. In 1905 I first heard of this religion which has become so dear to me, and in my case, as it is with some others, fear and doubt were not overcome very easily. One year later I was taken with a severe attack of illness. I had high fever and great thirst. Then it came to the test, whether I would declare for Christian Science or material remedies. I decided for Christian Science, and asked a practitioner to take my case. This was lovingly done, and the result was wonderful! After four days the truth prevailed; I was able to get up from my bed and was well, free from all disharmony. Since then I have recognized the power and majesty of Truth, and have myself had some most satisfactory demonstrations.
Last year an old complaint, from which I had suffered for several years before becoming acquainted with Christian Science, presented itself. All material means conceivable had been applied formerly, but they brought relief only for a short time, and I had to avoid any stooping movement. I was not able to master this error, and therefore again asked for help. After two days I was free from pain and have remained so, indeed pains in the back are now unknown to me. With this delivering religion a new life has come into my home; contentment, harmony, and trust in God, a frame of mind which I had not known before. Now I know that wherever I may be, I am no more alone. Our Master's wonderful words, "I am with you alway," are with me on all my paths.
I shall strive to express my gratitude to God, and to our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy, by pressing on and beholding more and more clearly the glory of our Father.
