I wish to express my gratitude for what Christian Science has done for me, and will say that I had suffered for several years from nervous and stomach troubles, also sleeplessness, so that when divine Truth, as expressed through Christian Science, was brought to my attention, I was sorely in need of aid, and certainly found in it an ever-present help in trouble. The kindly ministrations of a faithful practitioner were successful in overcoming the nervousness and the stomach disorder, as well as the sleeplessness, in a few treatments. I have also gained considerably in weight, as an additional evidence of the efficiency of Christian Science in curing these ailments.
An instantaneous healing was experienced by me shortly after the above cure. My right arm was severely bitten by a vicious horse, an open wound about four inches long being the result. As I was out driving and about two miles from home, my first impulse was to go to a surgeon and have the double cut (the horse's teeth met under the muscle) sewed up, but on second thought I decided to enlist the services of the same practitioner who had effected my first healing, so I drove to her residence and received treatment. The result was that the next day I was out driving about my work the same as usual; the arm was not even sore, and in forty-eight hours it was entirely healed, never at any time being discolored.
My third experience demonstrated to me what can be done for one's self by pursuing the study of truth as given in Science and Health. Previous to my healing in Christian Science, my teeth were so sensitive that to have one filled would distress me for days, but recently I had teeth crowned that kept me in the dentist's chair for as long as four hours at one time, and it seemed no effort at all. While this last may appear to be a simple matter to many, it meant a great deal to me.
