My heart is filled with a deep sense of gratitude for Christian Science, to which I turned as a last resort when materia medica could do no more. For over two years my face was very badly broken out, so badly sometimes that I was ashamed to be seen; but Christian Science healed me. Then I was also subject to extreme nervousness, which at times resulted in seeming loss of consciousness and memory. Though complete healing of this condition has not been realized, much relief and improvement have been experienced.
I have had many trials, but through them have learned a little of what Mrs. Eddy means when she says in Science and Health, "Every trial of our faith in God makes us stronger" (p. 410). My consciousness, like a muddy river-bed, has been stirred up as I have gained a knowledge of the truth, and the impurities are passing away, thus making room for the pure "water of life" to enter and fill it to overflowing.
Each day, through the reading of the Bible, together with Science and Health, and our other publications, the spiritual truths of God and His kingdom are being revealed to me, and for all these blessings I am truly grateful.—
