Nine years ago I came to Christian Science for the healing of female trouble, and because this healing has not yet been completed I have neglected to express my thanks for the innumerable other blessings received. I had been studying only a short time when I was healed of bowel disorder; while before this I always had a material remedy on hand.
A few years ago, when taken ill with what was supposedly typhoid fever, I had treatment in Christian Science; but I was so full of fear, as were other members of the family, for they had witnessed something of the effects of this disease, that a physician was called. He diagnosed the case as typhoid fever, but thought the symptoms were strange. A few days later it was decided to make a test, and my husband telephoned this information to the Christian Science practitioner, who was still treating me. The test was made, but not a single germ of typhoid could be found. It was thought it would be necessary to make a second test; but to this I objected. In two or three weeks I was again up and around. Then followed a short time of wandering in the wilderness, a seeming drifting from Truth; but we were glad to return to the fold.
We are indeed grateful for all the Christian Science literature, which helps to plant our feet more firmly on the rock of Truth. I am also thankful for having had the privilege of class instruction. To our dear Leader, Mrs. Eddy, we owe endless gratitude and should let our lives attest our sincerity.—Clifton, Kan.
