I spent several years as a trained nurse in a large hospital, and during that time saw most of the diseases known to the medical profession and the various methods of treatment: but since turning to Christian Science I have found the power of Truth to be the quickest, safest, and most efficacious remedy for physical ills. The spiritual regeneration which Truth brings to one's consciousness is, however, the most beautiful part of the healing.
I turned to Christian Science for healing after going through a serious operation which was not successful. The surgeon advised me to have a second one performed, though he could not promise that it would be a success; but our family physician advised me not to submit to another operation. At this time I could scarcely walk. I then decided to have Christian Science treatment, and since that time, over seven years ago, Truth has been my only physician.
Although the healing of this particular ailment has to material sense seemed slow, other ills have been quickly overcome. On three occasions I have been instantaneously healed. At one time I was suffering from a complication of ills which to material sense seemed worse than the original trouble, and it seemed as it I would not be on this plane much longer. Then a Scientist called to see me and I told her what my fear was. She spoke a few words to me, and I saw so clearly the all-power of God that I was healed instantaneously.
