For several years our reliance has been in Christian Science, and the healing power of Truth has been our remedy for every ill. I was healed through Christian Science of chronic bowel trouble of twenty years' standing, although doctors said it could be relieved only by an operation. I was also healed of a severe burn on my right arm from the elbow down. In this last case my husband quickly called a practitioner, and in half an hour after treatment was begun the pain had ceased, so that I rested quietly all night and was able to continue my house cleaning the next day. Although the skin came off my arm and hand, I was able at all times to attend to my usual work and did not suffer any more.
When I had a most severe attack of influenza, the symptoms being so serious that my family were greatly alarmed about me, we sent for a practitioner, who found me unconscious when she arrived. She stayed about an hour, and soon after she left I was able to take a little nourishment. The next day I was ready to resume household duties.
