In the second chapter of I Peter we read, "Ye should show forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light." It is therefore with the deepest gratitude that I testify to the healing truth of Christian Science.
About six years ago, after hearing over and over again from medical doctors the words, "I can do nothing more for you," I was led through a friend to read the Christian Science text-book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, and simply through reading this book I was healed of a severe case of appendicitis, for which the doctor had advised an operation as the only thing that would afford permanent relief. There has never been any return of this trouble.
I have also been quickly and permanently healed of a throat affection through my own application of the teachings of Christian Science. This great truth has met the need in every case where it has been faithfully applied. Only through a life devoted to the living of this healing truth which the Christ revealed, and to the uplifting of their brother man, can Christian Scientists really express their gratitude.— Laconia, N.
