From the June 1919 issue of The Christian Science Journal

In April, 1912, I was very ill with what the physician termed catarrh of the liver and bowels, also nervous prostration. When medicine and all a kind physician could do seemed of no avail I turned to Christian Science, and a few treatments dispelled the trouble entirely. Since then this healing truth has been my help for every ill. Last winter when the influenza worried every one around us so terribly, it was overcome for us in a few days, with no after effects. I have two little granddaughters who know nothing of medicine and are strong, healthy children.

The overcoming of physical discords is as nothing compared to the knowledge of Truth and Love in the affairs of everyday home life and the ability to help others, if only in a small degree. My earnest desire is to gain a better understanding of the truth.—
