It is about six years since I first came to Christian Science. I was a great user of liquor and tobacco, but thanks be to God this healing truth freed me from these habits in three treatments. No one ever had tried harder to quit drinking than I had, but to mortal sense I could not stop. I am now free from any desire for either liquor or tobacco.
Last spring I gathered some wild mushrooms and ate them, and soon began to feel sick. I treated myself the best I could, but had lots of fear, and so called a practitioner. By the next morning I was all right again, and there were no bad after effects.
I praise God for all the blessings that He has given me, and am grateful to Mrs. Eddy for giving us her books in this age that we may be guided in the straight road. I am very thankful for class instruction and also grateful for membership in The Mother Church.— Hillhurst, Wash.
