I am writing this testimony hoping that it will help those who are easily discouraged to take courage and still go on with Christian Science. Periodically I had been suddenly attacked with severe pains in my stomach, so severe that I have been obliged to go to bed, use a hot water bottle, and take a hot drink. When I knew of Christian Science and a long time afterwards I had the pains just as badly, so got very discouraged, and a friend lovingly helped me over the difficulty. It is over two years since I have required a water bottle, or have had to go to bed on account of pain. It was fear that gave me such bad times, and I thank God for the removal of that false belief, and the knowledge that God never made a time for His children to suffer, thereby helping to break down the lie that it is natural to suffer. This testimony would be incomplete without stating how I appreciate the loving work of Mrs. Eddy, showing us the way to heaven, harmony.— Compton, Wolverhampton, England.
