When visiting the United States twenty-five years ago, I became interested in Christian Science by hearing of and seeing some good cases of healing. Physical healing did not draw me to Christian Science; but I loved it, for I found in it the correct knowledge of God. Since that time I have been reading the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and other Christian Science literature faithfully, endeavoring to understand, helping others, and distributing literature. What I have learned has helped me very much indeed; and I have experienced some quick demonstrations of healing. My husband is also greatly interested in Science, and helps me with my work. Excursion steamers frequently call here bringing Christian Scientists, to whom we eagerly listen for news of our Cause. There are now other persons interested, scattered throughout this colony, but too far apart to hold meetings.
About two years ago a lady came to reside in this city who had been healed of a seemingly incurable disease in a day; and through her work many wonderful healings have been accomplished in Santiago, Chile. She has helped me to realize the nothingness of disease, and I owe her a debt of gratitude.
