It is with much gratitude to God, to Mrs. Eddy, and to the Christian Scientists who have so lovingly helped me that I send this testimony of the many blessings that have come into my life since I was asked to study Christian Science by a friend, to whom I can never feel grateful enough. I was dependent on crutches at the time, being able to put only one foot to the ground. I had been under the care of doctors for years. Many of them, including four specialists, said that my foot could never be quite cured, as the X-ray photograph showed tubercular disease of the bone. From the first turning to Christian Science I began to improve; but I did not see until after some months' study of the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, together with loving help from a practitioner, that it was really my wrong thoughts and faults in character that needed curing. From then on I made good progress, and am now very thankful and happy to say that I am able to do the housework, including the washing and ironing, which I had never done before.
Although I am very, very thankful for all the physical benefits received, I am more thankful still for the better understanding of God that the study of the Christian Science teaching has given me.— Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.
