FROM THE DIRECTORS

Christian Scientists' Home

From the August 1927 issue of The Christian Science Journal

The time is at hand when a large amount should be in the hands of our Treasurer to make final payments upon our new Pleasant View Home at Concord, New Hampshire. The building is completed, furnishing and equipment are being installed, and future residents will soon be notified to arrive about July 15.

There should be no outstanding obligations when our home is opened for the fulfillment of the high ideals it expresses. Its roof is broad and its walls are sturdy, but they are not built to carry a debt. Those who may have been reserving the bulk of their contributions until the hour of final requirement should strike, need wait no longer. It is now striking, and it is hoped that it will not be necessary to wind the clock of notification again.

Your contributions to our Pleasant View Home have been generous, and we confidently expect that this brief reminder is all that will be needed to supply the funds requisite for paying every dollar due by The Christian Science Pleasant View Home before the building is occupied. The many visitors who in the past few weeks have accepted the open-house invitation to inspect the building are emphatic in their approval of what it offers to those members of our Cause who will make it their home.
