I love to express my appreciation for Christian Science. I am indeed grateful to all who have helped me to know this beautiful truth about God. I am grateful to know that God does heal His children who trust in Him, and that He is "a very present help in trouble." This has been proved to me recently, as I have been healed of what three physicians, two of whom are specialists in diseases of the stomach, pronounced gallstones. I was taken suddenly ill, and my family, not being interested in Christian Science, became greatly alarmed. I was having help from a practitioner, but they called a doctor and later called in two other physicians. All three decided I should go to the hospital, and engaged the room to which I must go in two hours. The practitioner telephoned to me, and after talking with her I decided that "man's extremity is God's opportunity." I refused to go to the hospital for an operation and my engagement was canceled. I was healed. I felt like a new person and could sleep through the night and eat certain foods which I had not been able to eat for over a year. For this and many other beautiful blessings which I have received I am truly grateful.
It is over two years since I was healed, and I hope and pray that by right thinking and right living I may prove myself worthy to be called a Christian Scientist.—Chicago, Illinois.
