It is now nearly four years ago that, after undergoing several operations, I was given up by the doctors, Who told my parents I had at most six months more to live. As I was not able to eat or drink anything, I was fed artificially. It was in this condition that a Christian Scientist found me. When she had heard all about the disease she asked me if I should like to be quite well again. I replied that I could not take any medicine, and that the doctor had given me up. She then told me about Christian Science and the omnipresent love of God. All this was so clear to me that I felt no doubt whatever, and knew this was the truth. I asked her if she would help me, and she lovingly did. That very same night I got very hungry and wanted to have something to eat, but my mother greatly feared to give me anything; however, upon my insisting, she yielded. During the two weeks that followed I was getting stronger every day, and at the end of the fortnight I was completely healed.
