Christian Science was first presented to me by a neighbor at a time when I was experiencing extreme grief and ill health. Some authorized Christian Science literature was given me to read, and being greatly impressed I later accepted an invitation to attend a Wednesday evening testimony meeting. This aroused in me a great desire to read the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. I borrowed the book, and after reading the first chapter, on Prayer, I was convinced of the healing truths contained therein.
I then sought the help of a Christian Science practitioner to be freed from the deep sense of sadness. After a few treatments a clearer understanding of God as Love was gained, and I found myself healed. Since that time my family and I have received many blessings and healings through the power of Truth as taught in Christian Science.
Several years ago I received a beautiful healing of erysipelas. My head and face were swollen almost beyond recognition. After the first treatment no pain was experienced and the acute fear vanished. At the end of a week I was completely healed, and resumed my usual duties.
