The study and application of Christian Science have given me a new and more satisfying outlook on life. In place of wondering why certain problems have to be mine, as I used to do, I can now see that these problems come in some way to all and furnish opportunities to progress in spiritual understanding. I am grateful that I am able to express more and more gratitude as I go along. I find solutions so much easier and progress so much more wonderful when gratitude is expressed even in the thick of the fight. As I look back over past experiences, I am very gratified to see that when much heartfelt gratitude was expressed the problems that presented themselves were harmoniously solved, and more spiritual understanding and spiritual strength were thereby gained. So now, in place of worrying and complaining about a seemingly difficult situation which presents itself, I feel confident that whatever inharmonious condition may arise, I can meet it by absolute reliance on the Bible and the Christian Science textbook.
Christian Science has delivered me from the desire to smoke cigarettes, and has enabled me to overcome a chronic habit of swearing. I have been healed of influenza, and have experienced painless dental work on two occasions; gainful employment has been provided when there seemed to be no work for me. I have also been able to help loved ones to understand the Christ as revealed to us through Christian Science. For all of these blessings I am profoundly grateful to God, to Mrs. Eddy, and to a faithful practitioner.—Dallas, Texas.
