CHRIST JESUS said, "Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." In this truth which Christian Science reveals is found the way of complete freedom from all that seems to hold mankind in bondage. The way of the Christ is the only way out of bondage.
Christ Jesus solved every problem that was presented to him, and he healed all who came to him for help. Tax money had to be provided; the hungry needed to be fed; the blind, the dumb, the deaf, needed to see, to speak, to hear; the sick needed to be healed, the maimed and insane to be made whole. None were sent away unhealed; none were told to come back at another or more opportune time. The gospel was preached in practical demonstration of the healing and saving power of God. The divine way to freedom which Jesus taught then is ours to use today; it is made available through the revelation of Christian Science.
Mankind in general has always seemed in bondage to disease or the fear of it, and intermittently in bondage to lack. Especially during these last few years have the widespread beliefs of lack and depression enslaved the thoughts and lives of nations and peoples. Freedom from the bondage to material beliefs, including those of disease and poverty, is today mankind's supreme need, and Christian Science is completely able to meet that need.
