A PRAYER

From the April 1936 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Teach me to trust as I should trust
My Father's loving care.
Teach me to know where'er I go
My Father leads me there.
Teach me to feel His loving arms
Around me should I fall.
Teach me to know as I should know
That God is All-in-all.

Teach me to tell as I should tell
What Thou hast done for me.
Teach me to praise as I should praise
With true humility.
Teach me to hear with peace and joy
My Father's gentle call.
Teach me to know as I should know
That God is All-in-all.

Teach me to smile when I should smile
To ease another's load.
Teach me to speak to help the weak
Who falter by the road.
Teach me with joy each task to do,
Nor think that task too small.
Thus may I know as I shall know
That God is All-in-all.
