It is my desire to add my thanksgiving to the many voices continually singing praises to God for Christian Science.
Like many others it seemed to me that only so-called large accomplishments were worthy of being told as demonstrations; and yet, looking over the many experiences encountered, I realize that my existence would be a poor one did it still include all the pains, fears, limitations, and sinful traits that it formerly did. These have not all been entirely eliminated, but progress is apparent, and every right effort for reform has been duly rewarded. For freedom from worry and outlining I am immeasurably grateful. In the past these were stumblingblocks which retarded happy progress. Christian Science has taught me that it is my birthright to be happy every moment, and that my joy no man taketh from me. It has taught me how to do right, and to overcome the false belief of revenge.
Children who receive instruction in the Christian Science Sunday School may not place a high value on this opportunity to build thought on the solid foundation of the Christ, Truth, until they are called upon to use it in their later encounters. This training was mine, and I can see now where it spared me from much that was harmful, from fearing people, from being conversant with symptoms supposedly announcing the approach of disease. It was during this time that I was healed, with the help of a practitioner, of chronic tonsillitis and a soft corn. My mother was healed of severe hemorrhages. We have both been beautifully sustained and provided for during many years.
