It is with deep gratitude that I write this testimony, for Christian Science has been very helpful to me. I began the study for a physical healing, but have since applied this Science to all other problems, and find it a never-failing aid. I had many complaints and was like the woman in the Scriptures who "had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse."
Four years ago my immediate need was for the healing of chronic constipation. I had used material remedies for this condition for several years with no lasting benefit. Finally, in despair I wrote to a friend and former neighbor who three years before had introduced Christian Science to me. She assured me that Christian Science would help me, so I gave up medicine and turned to this Science, and the healing was immediate. Previous to that I had just come from the hospital after an operation for an internal growth which I was told caused nervous conditions and throat troubles. I had also had a throat operation three years before. There was no improvement in my condition, however, until I sought help of Him "who healeth all thy diseases." I was so joyous over my first proof of the power of Truth that I felt like shouting it abroad.
In these times of seeming distress our problem of supply has been wonderfully met. We have come to know God as the source of all good. I now enjoy riding without thought of accident, knowing that, as our Leader writes in Science and Health (p. 424), "Under divine Providence there can be no accidents, since there is no room for imperfection in perfection."
