Christian Science has brought me many mental healings, among which have been a better understanding of God and man; more peace, patience, charity, and tolerance; a greater freedom from material thought; the healing of grief; and the unfolding of a more practical application of the truths given in the Bible through the study of Science and Health.
As a result of these mental healings, many physical ailments have been healed, among which have been rheumatism, neuritis, pneumonia, sickness from travel, fever, an injured finger upon which an automobile door had shut, loss of consciousness, eye trouble, and nervousness during what seemed to be a dangerous situation. Thanks to Christian Science, my thoughts became calmer so that no more nightmares trouble my sleep; also, many hideous and apparently real dreams of my waking hours have since faded. I have learned that every mental healing brings a healing in body or in environment. At a certain time I was much oppressed by a sense of lack. Upon my request, a practitioner worked for me. Some weeks later a man came to my home and hired me for a position. He had chosen my name first from a list of seventy-five applicants, although I was unknown to him. For the help of practitioners and other Christian Scientists I am very grateful.
