Christian Science has brought many blessings into my experience, and for each one I am deeply grateful to God, to Christ Jesus, and to our dear Leader, Mary Baker Eddy.
One healing stands out foremost to me. While leaving a building one day, I tripped and fell. In a few moments I was helped up. I was in great pain, and my feet hung limp from the ankles. I asked to be taken to a telephone to call a practitioner for help, after which I was assisted to my car in a seemingly helpless condition.
In a pocket of the car was a Christian Science Sentinel, which I began to read. The second article which I read told of an instantaneous healing of a sprained ankle. The helpful thoughts in the article and faithful work of the practitioner enabled me to drive my car within the next half hour, and I made three business calls and returned to my home. I was in much pain and walked with difficulty, but I was improving, realizing that at all times God does sustain each spiritual idea. This incident took place at four o'clock in the afternoon, and I wore my shoes and was about my duties until eight that evening. After I retired there was a terrible burning sensation in my ankles and heels. This continued until three o'clock the following morning, when I realized I was free from pain.
