It is with a sense of the deepest gratitude for Christian Science that I give this testimony.
My knowledge of the healing power of this Science came when a member of my household was completely and beautifully healed of a grave illness experienced during childbirth. Although the physicians at the hospital said that the patient had only a short time to live, through the spiritual vision of a Christian Science practitioner this condition of illness was met within twenty-four hours after the practitioner was asked to take up the work. Both mother and child were able to leave the hospital within a very short time, normal and healthy.
This wonderful demonstration of God's power to heal so impressed me that later, when in deep trouble and suffering from a severe nervous breakdown, I unhesitatingly asked help in Christian Science. During those dark days I learned for the first time to know something about God and to enjoy and understand the Bible. Then when the healing was complete, I also found that I was free of a serious stomach trouble, sinus trouble of long standing, and a manifestation of boils and carbuncles.
