One of the first healings which I experienced in Christian Science was of extreme nervousness, which I had seemed to manifest since a young girl. The medical law stated that a change of climate would be of some benefit to me, but although this was tried, I was never healed.
I did not take up the study of Christian Science for this specific ailment, but shortly after I began reading and studying the writings of our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, I realized that through change of mental attitude my healing had taken place. This was many years ago, and the demonstration has been a permanent one.
Since this practical proof of the efficacy of Christian Science healing, my family and I have relied absolutely upon the power of divine Truth to meet all our needs. Later I was healed of a sprained kneecap, and I have also been healed of broken ribs and granulated eyelids. My husband depended solely upon Christian Science treatment for the restoration to soundness of a broken finger which the physician had pronounced seriously hurt. This was accomplished in one day's treatment. My daughter was lifted out of a severe condition of ear and throat trouble. The claims which asserted themselves were hemorrhages and total deafness in the right ear from the destruction of the ear drum, but through the application of the teachings of Christian Science regarding the perfection of God's creation these claims were annulled. What a joy it is to enter into "the secret place of the most High" and there to know that God's child is neither sick nor sinful!
