It has been my blessed privilege to have been reared in Christian Science and to have attended the Sunday school up to the age of twenty. I should like to share some of my experiences of healing.
When I was nine years old I was healed of a severe case of diphtheria, even though the aftereffects seemed so alarming that I had to learn to walk again. During my second year in high school, smallpox was overcome so completely that I experienced no pain or discomfort; and no scars or blemishes remained. Although I missed six weeks of school, the work was made up, and the grades at the end of the term were better than ever before.
While I was still attending Sunday school my work took me away from home, and I had the privilege of a trip to Australia. It was during this trip that I really learned to appreciate Christian Science and began to awaken mentally to the need for more spiritual growth. The love shown me by an earnest practitioner in Sydney will never be forgotten. Through her loving help I was completely healed in one day of all the symptoms of influenza, and I remained well during my seven months' stay in the Antipodes.
