How beautiful it is to know that we can, in times of trial, patiently and lovingly wait on our dear heavenly Father to fulfill His purpose. As our thought opens up to Christian Science, we see more of the ageless man, and of eternal Life.
One day I was suddenly afflicted with double vision. I called on an oculist to find the cause of this condition. He examined my eyes, and told me that one eye seemed to be badly crossed. He said that he could draw the eyes into place by using prism glasses, but that I should have to use the glasses permanently. He also advised me to go to a physician for an examination. This was the parting of the ways. I immediately called on a Christian Science practitioner and made arrangements for treatment. At the end of seventeen days the inspiration gained from the beautiful talks we had together and the treatments I received, was so great that I had full assurance I could meet the trouble through my own efforts, and I took up the work myself.
During the next two months I never missed ushering at the Wednesday evening meetings, when called upon to do so, and at the end of this time the eyes had adjusted themselves to such an extent that I could see singly again. My eyes are now normal.
