Christian Science teaches that God is all-knowing and all-seeing. At the same time, it teaches that God neither knows nor sees evil. Hence the following question is often raised: If then Christian Science is exact Science, as its textbook maintains, how can it explain this apparent contradiction?
To the casual observer this question may well seem justified; to the opponent of Christian Science it appears as an unanswerable argument. But to the earnest student of this Science it is no mystery. And why? Because in his reasoning he starts with God, Principle, the one perfect creator, and therefore runs no risk of deducing false conclusions.
In the light of Christian Science we soon discover that fundamental spiritual facts are simple and consistent. We also discover that correct conclusions contradict the testimony of the material senses. As the Apostle Paul says: "The flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would."
