With grateful appreciation of our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, I wish to offer this testimony.
Throughout a childhood spent in a religious home and devoted to the study of the Bible, I sought for Truth, but did not find it until I was practically forced into Christian Science because of an overwhelming sense of failure and mental depression. As the light dawned in my consciousness I realized the ever-presence of God, good. At the same time I was healed of defective vision, a physical condition supposedly caused by infantile paralysis, and many other ills.
The blessings which go with class instruction cannot be estimated, for they are manifold. I made this demonstration against overwhelming odds, for mortal mind suggestion would have had me delay taking such a forward step. I rejoice to know of the able practitioners working in God's vineyard. I am very grateful that the claims of material sense or aggressive mental suggestion can be overcome through a better understanding of God and of Christ, Truth.—Wellsboro, Pennsylvania.
