I wish to express my gratitude for Christian Science and its law of Truth, which liberates.
Seventeen years ago I was healed of tuberculosis, after all medical aid had failed and I was ordered to enter a sanitarium as the last and only hope of saving my life. I had been married but a short time, and to be, as I thought, separated from this happiness was almost unbearable. I called a friend whom I knew to be an ardent Christian Scientist, and whom I respected highly, with the feeling that I should even resort to this, if I could but live and continue to enjoy my home life. She came to me at once and lovingly gave me the names of several practitioners. I selected one and visited her. I told her of my fears. She quietly listened, then said to me: "We shall forget all this; and now I went to know, What have you ever done for God?" I said, "Nothing." She said, "All right, then, we shall start now." She told me I should have to give up my medicines and depend wholly on God. I went home that evening and retired. I had not been to lie on my left side for many months. A thought came to me as clear as a whisper, Turn over; and I obeyed. When I awoke it was daybreak. It was an instantaneous healing, and God's law of health and harmony had done the work.
Since then I have had many healings. Family relationships have been adjusted, and I have been healed of smoking and social drinking.
