I wish to express my gratitude to Christian Science, which has transformed my life.
I had been suffering from chronic nephritis and enteritis, which had resisted treatment and diets for several years; and serious complications had been added to these ills, when one in my family acquainted me with Christian Science. I entertained some doubt about it at first, but a second letter brought me confidence. I was helped, and a copy of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy was sent me. I began reading it, together with the Bible, with which I was already familiar in my Protestant religion. From that moment my health noticeably improved, and the improvement continued steadily until the healing was complete.
At a time when sickness and lack of employment and funds seemed to prevail, ideas relating to my business enabled me to envisage the possibility of wholly new work, new in method as well as in realization. These ideas came to me without any mental effort and in such abundance that I could see that they did not emanate from me. I am also indebted to Christian Science for having acquainted me with the divine origin of the blessings, which came at the right time and chased away my fears.
