From the July 1939 issue of The Christian Science Journal

[As published in the Christian Science Sentinel, May 13, 1939]

Mr. William Wallace Porter, C. S. B., who has been a valued member of The Christian Science Board of Lectureship, has expressed his desire not to be reappointed at the forthcoming Annual Meeting of The Mother Church. Mr. Porter was first appointed to the Board of Lectureship in 1916. His generous service to the Cause of Christian Science as lecturer, and also as Committee on Publication for the state of New York from April, 1933, to October, 1936, is sincerely appreciated, and his present request will be granted. Mr. Porter will be available for lecture engagements until the close of the present lecture year, ending June 30.
