OUR LESSON-SERMONS

From the July 1939 issue of The Christian Science Journal

The Lesson-Sermons in the Christian Science Quarterly provide a unique and most profitable course of study for anyone who will diligently read and ponder the citations day by day. Furthermore, it is study, available and beneficial to all, to young and old, to the beginner as well as to the more seasoned worker.

The universality of the appeal of the Lesson-Sermons is best expressed in the words of Isaiah, "Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters," and this call is being accepted by eager students in Christian Science Sunday Schools, by attentive listeners at church services, by interested readers at Christian Science Reading Rooms, and by all those who quietly study these Lessons in their own homes.

Inasmuch as each Lesson-Sermon contains a number of Scriptural selections, it may readily be seen that these afford a liberal course in Bible study. Within a year opportunity is given for systematic consideration of hundreds of Biblical passages.
