Testimonies of Healing

I know of no greater joy than...

From the January 1940 issue of The Christian Science Journal

I know of no greater joy than that of sharing with others the fruits of one's experiences in Christian Science. The opportunity of testifying in the Christian Science periodicals is a most valuable one to me, because I have received so much help from the testimonies of others. The Bible commands, "Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over;" and my healing was a part of that "good measure."

Eight years ago I purchased my first copy of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. Error in many forms, such as sickness, unhappiness, discord, and poverty, had taken possession of our home. A legal separation seemed to be the only way out. When all other ways and means had failed to mend the circumstances, a very dear friend came to our rescue, and recommended that we give Christian Science a fair trial. She assured us that if we really desired God's help, He would show us the way. We sought a loving practitioner for help, and she proved God to be the only power. The thought of divorce was replaced by love; and separation from false beliefs restored health, happiness, and harmony. The faithful practitioner lovingly replaced each claim of error with truth, until the difficulty was destroyed. Now our home has been rebuilt on a spiritual foundation which daily is bringing forth greater proofs of the healing power of Christian Science. While I am grateful for the healing and adjustment, I am unable to express sufficient gratitude for the beautiful lessons I learned through this experience, and for the fuller understanding of man, of the real meaning of home, love, government, moral courage, and supply. Truly, "I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be... taken from it."

The power, protection, and efficacy of Christian Science have never failed to bless us abundantly. Mrs. Eddy's statement, "Thoughts unspoken are not unknown to the divine Mind" (Science and Health, p. 1), has been the stored-away pearl which has brought us instantaneous supply many times.
