My first healing in Christian Science was in March, 1893. For many months previous to that I had been in extremely poor health and had had a dreadful cough. I had heard of the small Christian Science Society in the city where I lived. I went to a Wednesday evening testimony meeting, and while there I asked for a practitioner. I had a treatment that night and one the next morning. That day I felt as though I had been released from prison. I could breathe freely and the cough had gone. At the same time, without my having mentioned any difficulty other than the cough to the practitioner, I was healed of a dislocated hip, and serious ailments which had been brought on by childbirth.
Since that time I have had other healings, among them being those of injuries which I received when I was struck by an automobile. Christian Science has been my only physician these many years.
I am grateful for membership in the beautiful church in this city which I have seen develop from the little society of which I spoke. I am also grateful for membership in The Mother Church, and for class instruction.—St. Joseph, Missouri.
