Testimonies of Healing

I should like to express my deep...

From the December 1942 issue of The Christian Science Journal

I should like to express my deep gratitude for all that Christian Science has done for me in the past twenty-two years.

On page 1 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, writes, "Thoughts unspoken are not unknown to the divine Mind," and she adds, "Desire is prayer." My prayer for a knowledge of God was answered when a loved one brought this textbook of Christian Science into our home. I read it without prejudice and with an open mind, and found that I was healed of deafness which doctors and specialists had pronounced incurable.

Jesus said, "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you," and, ''What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them." I am grateful to say that in my search for God these promises of Scripture were fulfilled in my own experience. These promises are here for all sincere seekers who earnestly and humbly desire to know God.
