"Come, walk with Love along the way,
Let childlike trust be yours today;
Uplift your thought, with courage go,
Give of your heart's rich overflow."
To those who have experienced the beautiful healings, the joy, and peace which come with the study of Christian Science, the "heart's rich overflow" brings up visions of unbounded gratitude for that which Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of this Science, has given to mankind. In her textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," she says(p. 3),"If we are ungrateful for Life, Truth, and Love, and yet return thanks to God for all blessings, we are insincere and incur the sharp censure our Master pronounces on hypocrites." This being true, it behooves us to find out the meaning of gratitude and its source.
The ten lepers who were healed by Jesus no doubt rejoiced in their freedom from disease, but only one came back to the Master and glorified God. To him Jesus stated a most important fact when he said, "Thy faith hath made thee whole." He was made "whole," and no doubt had a better understanding of the power of God.
