I have been the recipient of many blessings through Christian Science. Over a period of years it has guided, protected, and upheld me. It has brought about many harmonious adjustments in my affairs and has healed me of numerous diseases.
However, when some hereditary problems did not yield, there came a period of doubt—a belief that possibly I was hard to heal. Our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, makes it plain that, as she states in "Miscellaneous Writings" (p. 362), "Truth is won through Science or suffering." In relating an experience which apparently developed through the erroneous thinking to which I refer. I desire to acknowledge publicly a beautiful healing, with the prayer that it may encourage someone to draw a little closer to God through renewed hope and uplifted faith in the power of Christian Science to heal.
A condition developed on the outside of the joint of my left foot known as a seed wart. In this location, it was very difficult and painful for me to walk. Month after month went by with faithful work by not only one but several Christian Science practitioners at different times. Words cannot express my gratitude for the inspiration and spiritual uplift I received through their ministration during this difficult experience. The condition, however, grew worse, and to aggravate my mental distress a similar condition appeared at the root of the nail on the forefinger of my left hand.
