I should like to express my gratitude for Christian Science, which is daily unfolding more of God's blessings in my life.
It is twenty years since I received an immediate healing of pneumonia. It was the second time this ailment had made its appearance in two years, and members of my household were very fearful, remembering how ill I had been the previous time. On the evening of the third day, my friend had gone to the corner druggist for medicinal aid. I had attended a Christian Science church occasionally for about a year, and now, taking up one of Mrs. Eddy's writings, I opened to page 18 of "Christian Healing," where our Leader writes: "There is no connection between Spirit and matter. Spirit never entered and it never escaped from matter; good and evil never dwelt, together."
At once I saw my spiritual at-one-ment with my creator, our Father-Mother God. Words are inadequate to describe my spiritual uplift. All fever and pain ceased, and my breathing became natural. I sat there enraptured with this wonderful peace. I felt light as air, and realized that my conscious selfhood really was spiritual, and that I reflected spiritual substance, and therefore that nothing else had anyplace to exist or be felt but good.
