I have been helped so much through Christian Science that I feel it is my duty to acknowledge its benefits in a testimony.
I became interested in this Science about sixteen years ago, when a Christian Science practitioner asked me to deliver a message to a friend who was to have an operation. The message was to the effect that she would not be operated upon. The operation was not performed, for my friend was healed in the night.
About two years later I became afflicted with a skin disease which was so serious that I became very much alarmed. The examining physician said it would take about sixteen weeks to effect a cure, and I would have to be completely isolated during that time. He asked me to go home immediately so that he could start with what he believed to be the right medicine. The physician was discouraged with my condition, and I was discouraged with his verdict, so much so that I did not go home, as I was told to do, but went to the office of a Christian Science practitioner, and was healed instantly. My heart was full of gratitude when I knew that I was healed, and I was able to keep an appointment in a city several hundred miles away the following morning.
