Jesus said, "This is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day." It is comforting and inspiring to recall these words of the Master's in view of the fact that I have been interested in Christian Science from childhood and have had many opportunities to study and apply this blessed truth. It was because Jesus utilized the truth revealed to him that he did not lose it, but was able to "raise it up" and himself in his final victory over the grave.
Christian Science has been the "pearl of great price" in our home. Both my wife and I have had the privilege of attending a Christian Science Sunday School, and of class instruction. Our two children are likewise attending the Sunday school and have long been accustomed to apply the truth of Christian Science to meet their daily problems. Through this truth they have been healed of numerous so-called children's diseases. On two occasions they were quickly healed with the aid of a Christian Science practitioner and firm support on our part when their condition was very serious and alarming. They have been protected from accidents and have been healed of the effects of accidents. Above all, they are having the privilege of using this truth as an unfailing guide in their lives.
Among the many reasons for my gratitude, the constant availability of Christian Science as a basis for thought and action appears uppermost. Like many others, I am engaged in government war work, and I have found that vigorous declaration of the truth as revealed by our dear Leader, Mrs. Eddy, is constantly needed to neutralize mortal mind's suggestions of confusion, strain, and lack of time, and to permit one to listen for God's guidance in each undertaking.
