For many years I not only refused to accept Christian Science, but was very antagonistic towards what I thought it to be.
One day I was told by a physician that I had a serious case of blood poisoning and would need to go to a hospital at once. I had just begun some plans in my business which I could not leave without great loss, and I was very much upset at the prospect. A member of my family said that it would not do any harm to try Christian Science, adding that it might solve my problem. In my extremity I went to see a near-by Christian Science practitioner. Although I had no expectancy of being healed, the next morning all evidence of blood poisoning had disappeared from my arm, and it never returned.
This healing occurred over eight years ago, and since that time many spiritual blessings and other healings have been brought into my experience through the study and practice of Christian Science. Solely through the application of the teachings of Mary Baker Eddy, as found in her textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," I have been healed of stomach trouble, chronic constipation and headaches, sprained ankles, influenza, respiratory infections, and many other diseases. I was also healed of the necessity of using glasses which I had worn for fifteen years.
