About ten years ago I went into a Christian Science Reading Room, and although at first the writings of Mary Baker Eddy were strange to me, I began to understand in a small measure the old. yet ever new, idea of Truth. I at once recognized The Christian Science Monitor as a fine newspaper.
Some time after my first visit to the Reading Room, when I had learned that there were practitioners to help one understand and demonstrate Christian Science, I called on one. For two years I had used mechanical means for elimination and followed a certain diet, but this had brought only worry and loss of weight. Through the help of the practitioner I was healed of constipation. A condition of the stomach, which had given me trouble and pain since girlhood, also disappeared.
