It is with the deepest gratitude for Christian Science that I relate the following healing of our small son.
One morning when I was getting him ready for school he said he wanted to lie down because of severe pains in his head and legs. He looked very unlike his usual happy self, so I immediately telephoned a Christian Science practitioner for help, which was most lovingly given. For three days the child was unable to stand and appeared to be in great pain. During this time the practitioner worked faithfully, and I upheld the boy's confidence in God, assuring him that the error would be overcome by divine Love.
On the third evening my husband, who is not a Christian Scientist, said that he thought we should call a doctor. This was done, and the doctor came the following morning and gave the child a thorough examination. He said the child's temperature was 103 degrees, and told us he had spinal meningitis. He left saying that he would be back in the afternoon. I should like to mention that the child greatly objected to having the doctor, but was very anxious to have Christian Science help.
