For the comfort and healing I have experienced through the prayers of Christian Science practitioners and also by my own effort, I wish to express my gratitude to God through our periodicals.
In 1926 I was introduced to Christian Science and sought the aid of a practitioner. The result of that first treatment sent me away "walking, and leaping, and praising God." I then began to study the Lesson-Sermons in the Christian Science Quarterly, and how I strived to realize the truth of the statements I read!
Then followed four years' service in the United States Navy. At the San Diego Naval Training Station the Christian Science worker sought me out. This devoted worker and his wife gave me loving support during my entire period of service.
