Christian Science has been my only physician for the past twenty years, and it has never failed to heal, protect, and guide me. In our home we have had healings of tuberculosis, broken bones, rheumatic fever, sprains, colds, headaches, and numerous other ills.
This Science has been of inestimable value in bringing up our two children. Both were born with the help of Christian Science and they have known no other teaching. The elder boy, when a tiny baby, had a skin eruption which covered his face. With the help of a practitioner this was entirely healed, and today he has a perfectly normal skin. When he was about twelve years old he had rheumatic fever. Because of the severity of the case and the extreme pain he was suffering, his father insisted on calling in a doctor. Medicine was prescribed and material laws were laid down by the doctor, but when the medicine was offered the child he refused it, choosing to put his whole trust in God. Through firm reliance on God and the work of the practitioner, the pain ceased almost instantly, and within a very short time the boy had a complete and permanent healing. Now he is serving with the armed forces of his country.
The protective power of Christian Science brings a great sense of peace. Just to say I am grateful is not sufficient. I pray that I may be able to express more of the Christ-idea every day.
